HiCo Security was founded by Logan Coffey and Brandon Hibbitts with a simple belief: security expertise shouldn’t be locked behind enterprise-level budgets.

While still in college, both founders set their sights on becoming penetration testers. Knowing they lacked real-world experience, they began volunteering their time — performing penetration tests and security audits for local organizations resulting in many happy companies, a few news stories, and school awards. This hands-on work allowed them to refine their technical skills while helping businesses understand and strengthen their defenses.

Today, HiCo Security exists to carry that same mission forward. By keeping our team intentionally small and focused, we’re able to provide practical, high-quality security assessments at pricing accessible to small and growing organizations. We believe cybersecurity is not a luxury — it is a responsibility shared by everyone and a right every business should be able to afford.
